Dr. Andrew Kent is a New York native and received his Bachelors Degree in Anatomy and Physiology at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.  He received his Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.  Dr. Kent completed his residency training at Cornell University/North Shore University Hospital, and then stayed on to complete a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Kent pursued a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at New York University.  He is board certified in General, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  He is experienced in many areas including but not limited to the treatment of Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Pervasive Developmental Disorders.

Dr. Kent has appeared as an expert consultant for Fox News and WPIX in New York.  He is a frequent guest lecturer and consultant for numerous local school districts.  Dr. Kent has also served as a consultant for Forest Labs and Pfizer.

Dr. Kent will thoughtfully diagnose the problem, and present all the treatment options that are available.  He prides himself on making sure the proper time is allotted, and that the patient  always comes first.

Dr. Kent is pleased to announce and be the first Psychiatrist on Long Island to offer outpatient services utilizing the newest FDA approved treatment for depression, Neurostar TMS Therapy.
